How long after you get pregnant do your boobs start to hurt?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and I know sore breasts are the first sign and I’m not supposed to start my period till 4/18 (today’s the 9th) but my boobs are SO sore. I can’t hardly even get a bra on! My nipples are swollen and I took a test and it was negative so I’m confused. So I’m hoping maybe it’s just too early for the test to read it. Thanks!

many women are different but on average 1 to 2 weeks after conception…usually in about 7-10 days but everyones different some dont get it till their 6th to 8th week

    good luck!

they hurt straight away for me…..but then they can sometimes hurt when you are about to come on your period….so it can be a little confusing!!

It is very possible you just took the test too early. Wait until the first day of your missed period (which would be 4/18 for you) and test again. Your boobs could hurt right away or several weeks after you are known to be pregnant… everyone is different.

If you are pregnant, here is a list of pregnancy symptoms you might experienced before you missed your period:

    1.Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

    2.Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

    3.Fatigue/Tiredness:
Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

    4.Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

    5.Backaches:
Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

    6.Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, here is another list of pregnancy symptoms you might experienced after you had missed your period:

    1. Frequent Urination:
Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

    2.Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

    3.Food Cravings:
While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

However if you want a confirmed answer on whether you are pregnant or not, there are two alternatives that you can seek. The first alternative is to take a home pregnancy test kit one week or so after your missed period. If you are really pregnant, the pregnancy stick will able to detect it due to your high hormones level. Another alternative is to see and doctor and had blood test done.

I’m supposed to start my period on the 4/14. But hopefully we’ll be pregnant and not start. :-) I noticed yesterday that my boobs were a little sore, and they are a little more sore today. I can’t wait til it’s time to test, I’m hoping for a BFP. I had implantation signs at 4 dpo, but I don’t know if thats too early…

What To Expect When You’re Expecting says that your boobs can get sore as early as a few days after conception.

    Good luck to you!!!

I just had to answer b/c I am in the same boat as you and my period is due the EXACT same day as yours 4/18! My breasts are only a little tender to the touch and feel a little more full, but am having twinges and pulls in my belly the past 2 days. All women are different. Some experience sore breasts a week into/right away and others don’t experience it or any other symptoms until 6-8 weeks into. I think you tested too early so don’t fret. Try to wait until after your missed period but if you can’t wait then test on the 13th @ 4-5 days before…most tests are very accurate at this point.
